Grace

Hood: Fishtown

Day Job: Chief Operating Officer of BDDW furniture company

Where She Shops: Vagabond, Barney’s, Joan Shepp

Where We Found Her: About to get on her motorcycle after leaving Menagerie Coffee in Old City.

Grace mixed gorgeous quality pieces with the staples. Her faux fur scarf adds just enough texture to her sleek black on black look. Nothing like a crisp white collar for a crisp winter’s day. Her Oliver People'sglasses are great, sleeker version of Warby Parker's two tone Winstons.

Sound Byte: “I like simple and basic pieces with a little bit of edge or twist to them. Also, well-constructed and I’m always partial to black and leather.”

23rd Street Armory Clover Market, Rittenhouse, Philadelphia

‘Hood: West Philly

Day Job: Nutrition Educator for the Food Trust, bringing Philly and Chester school students access to healthy food.

Where We Found Her: Helping a friend manage a furniture stand at the 23rd Street Armory Clover Market.

Where She Shops: Thrift stores on the Main Line and Second Mile in West Philly, Anthropology, Free People

What She’s Wearing: Hair barrette from Anthropology, shoes from Free People, sweater from Second Mile in West Philadelphia.

Sound Bite: My fashion is inspired by multiple outlets. I am a big believer that we all can't wear the same pieces, I need to know what parts of my body look the best and accentuate them in a tasteful way, so that is one thing that inspires me. Also I am big on travel and cultures. For the last eight years I have been able to travel to so many different countries spending adequate amounts of time fully immersed in the culture that I step foot in. One of my favorite places I have visited was London; I have best friends that live there and I love the timeless pieces that London style has to offer so I constantly look at what's in style over there thrown in with a splash of Philly grunge or trendy pieces such as an accessory. But classic pieces always go a long way.

My favorite thing that has been happening in fashion right now and has been happening for a while is chambray, chambray, CHAMBRAY! I feel like my chambray shirts are always a go to in my closet, where I can dress them up or down. I can run out of the house in a chambray top and black jeans, and still look like I put effort into my outfit. I also love wearing a chambray top with one of my maxi skirts in Ankara print I bought in Ghana with a statement piece necklace, to look more dressy. They are super comfortable and come in all sleeve lengths and styles. I'm a chambray girl.
